PERIOD OF RECORD - November 2012 to current year.
PERIOD OF DAILY RECORD - WATER TEMPERATURE: November 2012 to current year.
INSTRUMENTATION - Temperature probe since November 2012. Satellite telemetry at station.
REMARKS - Independent field values of water temperature were collected during servicing of the temperature probe and are listed on the individual field sheets. All calibration data is on file in the Asheville Field Office and stored in USGS approved ‘Water-Quality Meter Calibration and Maintenance Logs’. The data are rated based on the criteria defined in the “Guidelines and Standard Procedures for Continuous Water- Quality Monitors: Station Operation, Record Computation, and Data Reporting Techniques and Methods 1-D3”, page 38. The determination of the data quality ratings were aided by the QW-Ultimate spreadsheet. All temperature data in 2016 are rated Excellent.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF DAILY RECORD - WATER TEMPERATURE: Maximum recorded, 25.7°C, July 02, 2014; minimum recorded, -0.1°C, several days in January 2014.
