LOCATION - Lat 35°30'14", long 80°44'11" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Cabarrus County, NC, Hydrologic Unit 03040105, on right downstream wingwall on Secondary Road 1612, 6 mi northeast of Davidson.
DRAINAGE AREA - 22.7 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - The mean gage-heights associated with discharge measurements #275-#284 were revised on June 16, 2022, based on adjustment to reference gage by levels.  Previously approved Discharge and Gage Height records through October 13, 2021 were minimally affected and required no revisions. 
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 2002 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage. Datum of gage is 655.12 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988, from levels. Satellite telemetry at streamgage.
REMARKS - Gage-height records are generally good. Discharge records are generally fair except for estimated discharges, which are poor. Additional details on the accuracy of the records can be obtained by contacting the USGS South Atlantic Water Science Center at gs-w-nc_nwisweb_data_inquiries@usgs.gov.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD -

Maximum instantaneous discharge, 6180 cfs on June 19, 2023. Maximum instantaneous gage height, 15.87 ft on June 19, 2023. 

Minimum instantaneous discharge, 0.03 cfs on Sept. 11, 2007. Minimum instantaneous gage height, 0.89 ft. on Sept. 11, 2007.

Minimum Daily Mean discharge, 0.03 cfs on Sept. 11, 2007.
