LOCATION - Lat 35°15'31", long 80°39'46" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Mecklenburg County, NC, Hydrologic Unit 03040105, on right upstream bank 150 ft downstream from U.S. Interstate Highway 485 and 2.0 mi southeast of Pine Ridge.
DRAINAGE AREA - 12.6 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - September 2007 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage. Datum of gage is 595.73 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Satellite and radio telemetry at streamgage.
REMARKS - Gage-height records are generally good. Discharge records are generally fair except for estimated discharges, which are poor. EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge for period of record, 4,500 ft³/s, August 27, 2008, from rating curve extended above 800 ft³/s on basis of slope-area measurement of peak flow. Maximum gage height for period of record, 15.08 ft, August 27, 2008, from crest-stage gage.
