LOCATION - Lat 35°50'01", long 81°42'43" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Burke County, NC, Hydrologic Unit 03050101, On right bank, 12 ft. downstream from bridge on SR 1438, 0.2 mi downstream from Sims Branch, 0.8 mile northeast of Arney's Store.
DRAINAGE AREA - 201 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY -

WDR NC-87-1: 1985-86 (annual maximum discharge). WDR NC-04-1: 1994-1995 (annual maximum discharge).

Gage datum was revised on November 21, 2021 based on an error in the determination of the gage datum.

SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - Occasional discharge measurements, water years 1974-84. May 1985 to current year.
GAGE - Data collection platform. Datum of Gage is 1,002.9 ft. above NAVD of 1988.
REMARKS - Gage-height records are generally good. Discharge records are generally good except for estimated discharges, which are fair to poor.
