LOCATION - Lat 35°17'58", long 80°56'47" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Mecklenburg County, NC, Hydrologic Unit 03050101, on left wingwall on upstream side of Secondary Road 1775 bridge, 0.6 mile upstream from mouth, and 1.7 miles northwest of Thrift.
DRAINAGE AREA - 5.28 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - WDR-US-2009: Drainage area.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - May 2004 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage. Datum of gage is 630.77 ft, above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Radio telemetry at streamgage.
REMARKS - Gage-height records are generally good. Discharge records are generally fair except for estimated discharges, which are poor. EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge for period of record, 2,400 ft³/s, August, 27,2008, from rating curve extended above 600 ft³/s on basis of slope-area computation of peak flow at gage height 10.79 ft. No flow occurred August 7-10, September 19-24, 2015, August 22-31, 2018.
