LOCATION - Lat 35°29'35", long 81°40'56" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Cleveland County, NC, Hydrologic Unit 03050105, On right bank 570 ft upstream from bridge on Secondary Road 1530, 0.5 mile upstream from No Business Creek, and 4.0 mi southwest of Casar.
DRAINAGE AREA - 60.5 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - WDR NC-81-1: Drainage area.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - Occasional low-flow measurements, water years 1949-56. March 1959 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 899.87 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Satellite telemetry at streamgage.
REMARKS - Gage-height records are generally good. Discharge records are generally fair except for estimated discharges, which are poor. EXTREMES OUTSIDE PERIOD OF RECORD - Flood of 1916 and August 1940 reached a stage of about 25 ft, from information by local resident.
