02162500 SALUDA RIVER NEAR GREENVILLE, SC
LOCATION - Lat 34°50'32", long 82°28'51" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Pickens County, SC, Hydrologic Unit 03050109, on right bank 700 ft upstream from bridge on State Road 124, 1.6 mi downstream Saluda Lake Dam, 2.4 mi upstream from Georges Creek, 4.6 mi west of city hall in Greenville, and at mile 132.0.
DRAINAGE AREA - 298 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - January 1942 to September 1978, October 1980 to January 1990 operated as partial records station, February 1990 to current year.
GAGE - Data collection platform. Datum of gage is 797.30 ft. above NAVD of 1988.
REMARKS - Gage-height records are generally good. Discharge records are generally good except for estimated discharges, which are fair.  Additional details on the accuracy of the records can be obtained by contacting the USGS South Atlantic Water Science Center at gs-w-nc_nwisweb_data_inquiries@usgs.gov.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge from rating curve extended above 7,500 ft³/s on basis of computation of peak flow over dam at Saluda Lake.
