- For water years 2014 onward, choose a water year and parameter and an on-demand Water-Year Summary report will be generated.
- For water years 2006 through 2013, choose a water year and an Annual Water Data Report will be provided.
- For water years 2005 and earlier, Annual Water Data Reports may be available in digital format.
- Not all sites have reports available for every water year.

LOCATION - Lat 33°58'21.5", long 82°46'15.1" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Elbert County, GA, Hydrologic Unit 03060104, at downstream side of main channel pier of bridge on State Highway 17, 0.5 mi downstream from confluence with Long Creek, 1.0 mi south of Bells Crossroads, and 12.0 mi southeast of Elberton.
DRAINAGE AREA - 1,420 mi².

GAGE - Satellite telemetry with a water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 356.8 feet above North American Vertical Datum (NAVD) of 1988. Prior to October 1928, a non-recording gage was located at a railroad bridge about 1.0 mile downstream at datum 1.12 feet lower. From October 1928 to July 1932, and August 1937 to January 1939, a non-recording gage was located at present site and datum.

REMARKS - Gage-height records are generally good. Discharge records are generally fair except for estimated discharges, which are poor. EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge recorded, 79,400 cfs, from rating curve extended above 50,000 cfs on basis of slope-conveyance studies, October 2, 1929; maximum gage-height recorded, 34.80 feet, October 2, 1929; minimum daily discharge, 19 cfs, September 13, 2002.
