GAGE HEIGHT: December 2009 to current year.
WATER VELOCITY: December 2009 to current year.
GAGE - Satellite telemetry with a water-stage recorder and acoustic velocity meter. Velocity data represents the average water velocity at the downstream cross-section with positive values in the downstream direction. Datum of gage is the North American Vertical Datum (NAVD) of 1988 (levels by U.S. Geological Survey). Prior to October 1, 2011, datum of gage was 3.92 feet below NAVD88.
COOPERATION - Georgia Department of Natural Resources, Environmental Protection Division.
REMARKS - Gage-height records are generally fair. Water velocity records are generally fair. Discharge records are generally fair. Additional details on the accuracy of the records can be obtained by contacting the USGS South Atlantic Water Science Center at gs-w-ga_nwisweb_data_inquiries@usgs.gov.

Streamflow at this site is affected significantly by astronomical tides. By convention, the U.S. Geological Survey has established ebb (seaward) flows as positive flows and flood (landward) flows as negative flows.
