LOCATION - Lat 34°01'54.5", long 83°33'47.1" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Jackson County, GA, Hydrologic Unit 03070101, on downstream side of bridge on GA HWY 82, 1.7 miles downstream from Mulberry River, 3.6 miles upstream from Redstone Creek, and 3.2 miles South of Arcade, GA.
DRAINAGE AREA - 332 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - WDR GA-96-1: Drainage area.

The mean gage-heights associated with discharge measurements 243-253 were revised on Jan. 30, 2023, based on changes to the gage datum.

SURFACE-WATER RECORDS

GAGE HEIGHT: October 1998 to current year.
GAGE - Satellite telemetry with a water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 656.4 feet above North American Vertical Datum (NAVD) of 1988 (leveling by Global Positioning System equipment).
COOPERATION - Oglethorpe Power Corporation.
REMARKS - Gage-height records are generally good to fair. Discharge records are generally fair except for estimated discharges, which are poor. EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge recorded, 13,800 cfs, March 18, 1990; maximum gage height recorded, 25.34 feet, March 18, 1990; minimum daily discharge, 14 cfs, August 22-24, 2008.
