  • Water-Year Summary reports summarize a year of hydrologic data in a printer-friendly format.
  • For water years 2014 onward, choose a water year and parameter and an on-demand Water-Year Summary report will be generated.
  • For water years 2006 through 2013, choose a water year and an Annual Water Data Report will be provided.
  • For water years 2005 and earlier, Annual Water Data Reports may be available in digital format.
  • Not all sites have reports available for every water year.

USGS Water-Year Summary 2023
02231291 NASSAU RIVER NEAR TISONIA, FL
LOCATION - Lat 30°33'02", long 81°35'24" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in sec.34, T.2 N., R.27 E., Duval County, FL, Hydrologic Unit 03070205, attached to end of private boat dock,  on right bank at Pearson Island, 2.1 mi northeast of Tisonia, 3.5 mi south of Hedges, 5.3 mi downstream from U.S. Highway 17 bridge, and about 16 mi upstream from mouth.
DRAINAGE AREA - 285 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - July 1985 to April 1998 (gage-heights only); September 2013 to current year (filtered).
GAGE - Water-stage recorder, acoustic velocity meter, and data-collection platform. Datum of gage is 10.42 ft below NGVD of 1929.
COOPERATION - This gage is monitored in cooperation with the St. Johns River Water Management District.
REMARKS - Discharge not published some days due to bad or missing gage height or velocity data. Streamflow at this site is significantly affected by astronomical tides. Daily mean discharge was computed from filtered unit value discharge data. The Godin low-pass filter was used to remove principal tidal frequencies from unit values. By convention, the U.S. Geological Survey has established ebb (seaward) flows as positive flow and flood (landward) flows as negative flows. The residuals are not total freshwater flows but are a combination of freshwater flows and water storage caused by higher and lower mean sea levels and storm surges from tropical storm events. Instantaneous discharge computed from index-velocity linear regression relation and gage height rating.
WATER-QUALITY RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD -

SPECIFIC CONDUCTANCE: October 1985 to July 1988, September 2014 to September 2016 (discontinued). WATER TEMPERATURE: February 1986 to July 1988, September 2014 to September 2016 (discontinued). DISSOLVED OXYGEN: September 2014 to September 2016 (discontinued).

INSTRUMENTATION - Water-quality monitor and data-collection platform.
REMARKS - Extremes for current year and extremes for period of daily record are based on recorded values and may have been exceeded during periods of no record.
