LOCATION - Lat 28°22'10", long 80°52'22" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in SE 1/4 sec.25, T.24 S., R.34 E., Brevard County, FL, Hydrologic Unit 03080101, on the downstream side of bridge on State Highway 520, 0.6 mi upstream from Taylor Creek, 0.7 mi downstream from outlet of Lake Poinsett, 8.8 mi west of Cocoa, and 232 mi upstream from mouth.
DRAINAGE AREA - 1,331 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - Water temperature data collected January 3, 2018 through February 14, 2018 were removed from publication on March 27, 2018.  During this period the water quality monitor deployment pipe filled with sediment. Data collected were not representative of actual environmental conditions.
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1953 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder, acoustic velocity meter, and data-collection platform. Datum of gage is at NGVD of 1929 and 1.36 below NAVD of 1988. Prior to Oct. 1, 1959, nonrecording gage at site 3.7 mi east on north shore of Lake Poinsett at datum 5.06 ft higher.
COOPERATION - This gage is monitored in cooperation with the St. Johns River Water Management District and the City of Cocoa.
REMARKS - Records include inflow from Taylor Creek.
