LOCATION - Lat 28°56'38", long 81°20'24" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in NE 1/4 sec.08, T.18 S., R.30 E., Volusia County, FL, Hydrologic Unit 03080101, on right bank of Blue Springs Run, 850 ft upstream from St. Johns River, 1300 ft downstream from head of springs, and 2.5 mi west of Orange City.

DRAINAGE AREA - Indeterminate.

REVISIONS HISTORY - WDR-US-06-1A: Period of record. Records for November 1998 to March 2001, published in WDR FL-99-1A through WDR FL-01-1A, are unreliable and should not be used.

SURFACE-WATER RECORDS

PERIOD OF RECORD - March 1932 to October 1998 (discharge measurements only), November 1998 to November 2001 (gage height and discharge measurements only), December 2001 to current year.

GAGE - Water-stage recorder, acoustic velocity meter, and data-collection platform. Datum of gage is at NGVD of 1929 and 0.94 ft below NAVD of 1988. Prior to Dec. 7, 2001 at site 250 ft downstream at same datum. November 1998 to September 1999 at datum 0.74 ft lower. Prior to November 23, 1998, nonrecording gage at site 30 ft downstream at datum 0.74 ft lower.

COOPERATION - This gage is monitored in cooperation with the St. Johns River Water Management District.

REMARKS - Discharge affected by backwater from St. Johns River.

EXTREMES OUTSIDE PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum stage of 4.65 ft, Nov. 2, 1999 was recorded during period of gage height record only.
