LOCATION - Lat 29°14'40", long 81°38'34" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in SE 1/4 sec.25, T.14 S., R.26 E., Marion County, FL, Hydrologic Unit 03080101, on right bank of spring pool, 0.5 mi upstream from Lake George, and 9.1 mi northwest of Astor, FL.
DRAINAGE AREA - Indeterminate.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - March 1931 to September 2002 (miscellaneous discharge measurements), November 2002 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and data-collection platform. Datum of gage is NGVD of 1929 and 1.28 ft below NAVD of 1988. Prior to October 2002, non-recording gage at same site and datum.
COOPERATION - This gage is monitored in cooperation with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection and the St. Johns River Water Management District.
REMARKS - Discharge computed from relation between artesian pressure at Astor Park Well at Astor Park (290950081315501) and discharge at measuring site from October 2007 to January 2010. For period November 2002 through March 2005 discharge computed from relation between artesian pressure at Lake George well, spring pool elevation, and discharge at the measuring site. Artesian pressures are published as water levels for Lake George Well (291849081411401) in Water Resources for Florida, Volume 1B, Ground Water.
