LOCATION - Lat 30°04'33", long 81°51'50" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in SW 1/4 sec.12, T.5 S., R.24 E., Clay County, FL, Hydrologic Unit 03080103, at upstream side of bridge on southbound lane of State Highway 21, 0.5 mi north of Middleburg, 1.5 mi upstream from confluence with South Fork, and 14 mi upstream from mouth of Black Creek.
DRAINAGE AREA - 197 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1981 to current year (gage heights only).
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and data-collection platform. Datum of gage is 11.04 ft below NGVD of 1929 (levels by St. Johns River Water Management District) and 12.12 ft below NAVD of 1988. Prior to Feb. 28, 1986, at site 50 ft downstream at datum 1.24 ft higher. Feb. 28, 1986 to Sept. 30, 2006, at present site at datum 1.24 ft higher. Mar. 9 to Oct. 15, 2009, at site 70 ft downstream at present datum.
REMARKS - Stage affected by tide.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum gage height, 30.52 ft, Sept. 12, 2017; minimum, 9.34 ft, Dec. 23, 1981.
