LOCATION - Lat 27°09'15.77", long 81°04'11.93" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in SE 1/4 sec.24, T.39 S., R.33 E., Glades County, FL, Hydrologic Unit 03090103,  on the left bank approximately 5.8 mi upstream from S-72, 4.4 mi downstream from S-75, 16 mi southwest of Okeechobee.
DRAINAGE AREA - Indeterminate.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD -

DISCHARGE:  November 30, 2017 to current year.

GAGE HEIGHT:  February 2, 2017 to current year.

 

GAGE - Satellite data collection platform with water-stage shaft encoder and acoustic Doppler velocity meter. Datum of gage is North American Vertical Datum of 1988 (NAVD88).
COOPERATION - This gage is operated in cooperation with the Seminole Tribe of Florida Environmental Resource Management Department.
REMARKS - Flow is predominately controlled by S-75, located 4.4 miles upstream, S-72, located 5.8 miles downstream, and numerous agricultural pumping stations. Discharge computed from relations between stage vs. area and index velocity vs. mean channel velocity.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD -

Maximum gage height, 20.64 ft on Sept. 10, 2017; minimum, 17.72 ft on Sept. 3, 2019.
