LOCATION - Lat 27°26'32.6", long 81°17'49.3" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in sec.11, T.35 S., R.30 E., Highlands County, FL, Hydrologic Unit 03090101, on right bank 130 ft downstream from bridge on U.S. Highway 98, 1.3 mi upstream from mouth, and 7 mi east of De Soto City.
DRAINAGE AREA - 379 mi². excludes area drained by Lake Weohyakapka and includes area drained by Lake Sebring.
REVISIONS HISTORY - The maximum stage for the period of record is 9.45 ft, Sept. 12, 1960; the previously published figure was reported in error at 8.71 ft, Sept. 23, 1948 for the period of record.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - June 1939 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder, acoustic velocity meter, and data-collection platform. Datum of gage is 35.51 ft above NGVD of 1929. Prior to July 5, 2017 at site 110 ft upstream at same datum. June 7, 1967 to October 15, 2002 auxiliary water-stage recorder at site 1.3 mi upstream. See WDR FL-82-2 for history of changes prior to June 7, 1967.
COOPERATION - This gage is monitored in cooperation with the South Florida Water Management District. 
REMARKS - Discharge not published some days, due to bad or missing velocity data. Records include small diversions into Lake Arbuckle from Lake Weohyakapka through Blue Jordan Swamp.
