LOCATION - Lat 26°44'37.8", long 82°03'36.1" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Lee County, FL, Hydrologic Unit 03100103, left bank of Durden Creek, 0.4 mi from the mouth at Charlotte Harbor, 0.3 mi from Old Burnt Store Rd.
DRAINAGE AREA - Indeterminate.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 2011 to July 2014. Discontinued.
GAGE - Satellite data collection platform with water-stage shaft encoder and acoustic Doppler velocity meter. Datum of gage is North American Vertical Datum of 1988 (NAVD 88).
REMARKS - Streamflow at this site is significantly affected by astronomical tides. Daily mean discharge was computed from filtered unit values discharge data. The Godin low-pass filter to remove principal tidal frequencies from unit values. Positive discharge (ebb tide) is generally to the west direction, and negative discharge (flood tide) to the east. Discharge and gage height 15 minutes data, are available in the files of the U.S. Geological Survey. Data can also be accessed online at http://sofia.usgs.gov/. Daily values of gage height and tidally filtered discharge are available online at http://waterdata.usgs.gov/nwis.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - DISCHARGE: Maximum positive discharge, (unfiltered), 91 ft³/s July 16, 2012; maximum negative, (unfiltered), 77 ft³/s Mar. 18, 2014. GAGE HEIGHT: Maximum gage height, 2.41 ft June 25, 2012; minimum, -1.60 ft Jan. 7, 2014.
