LOCATION - Lat 27°34'32", long 81°48'17" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in sec.27, T.33 S., R.25 E., Hardee County, FL, Hydrologic Unit 03100101, located on the downstream side of the northbound bridge lane on Heard Bridge Road, 2 miles NE of Wauchula, 4.3 miles SE of Bowling Green and 63 miles upstream from mouth. 
DRAINAGE AREA - 754 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - December 1982 to May 1983 (miscellaneous discharge measurements only), October 2016 to current year (gage heights only). 
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is North American Vertical Datum of 1988.
COOPERATION - This gage is monitored in a technical agreement with Mosaic Corporation.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum gage height, 63.54 ft, Sept. 29, 2022 (from high water mark); minimum, 39.67 ft, May 22, 2017.
