LOCATION - Lat 27°22'29", long 81°47'48" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in SE 1/4 sec.3, T.36 S., R.25 E., Hardee County, FL, Hydrologic Unit 03100101, near center of span on downstream side of bridge on U. S. Highway 17, 1.6 mi north of Gardner, and 4.9 mi upstream from mouth.
DRAINAGE AREA - 330 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - WSP 1234: Drainage area. Maximum peak stage and maximum peak discharge for the 2020 WY were revised on July 21, 2021.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - April 1950 to current year. Prior to October 1957, published as Charlie Apopka Creek near Gardner.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 21.66 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929.
COOPERATION - This gage is monitored in cooperation with Southwest Florida Water Management District.
EXTREMES OUTSIDE PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum stage known, 24.2 ft in 1928, from information by local resident.
