LOCATION - Lat 26°59'25", long 81°53'41" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in SE 1/4 sec.15, T.40 S., R.24 E., Charlotte County, FL, Hydrologic Unit 03100101, near center of downstream side of bridge on Washington Loop Road, 6.1 mi from intersection of U.S. 17 and Washington Loop Road, and 10 mi northeast of Punta Gorda.
DRAINAGE AREA - 260 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - February 2004 to September 2009 (gage heights only); October 2009 to July 2012; August 2012 to February 2021 (gage heights only); March 2021 to current year.
GAGE - Satellite data collection platform with water-stage recorder and acoustic Doppler velocity meter. Datum of gage is 10.79 ft below National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929 and 12.04 ft below North American Vertical Datum of 1988.
COOPERATION - This gage is monitored in cooperation with Southwest Florida Water Management District.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum gage height, 25.08 ft, Sept. 12, 2017; minimum, 15.00 ft, May 12, 2009.
