02299496 MYAKKA RIVER AT EL JOBEAN PORT, FL.
LOCATION - Lat 26°57'28", long 82°12'46" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in NE 1/4 sec.33, T.40 S., R.21 E., Charlotte County, FL, Hydrologic Unit 03100102, on downstream side of fishing pier, approximately 100 ft upstream from State Highway 771 south bound bridge over the Myakka River at El Jobean, 0.5 mi south of El Jobean, and 2.6 mi upstream from mouth.
DRAINAGE AREA - 580 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - August 2002 to September 2005 (tidal high-high and low-low only); December 2012 to September 2014 (maximum and minimum gage heights only), discontinued.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Prior to December 2012 datum of gage was National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929.
COOPERATION - The gage is monitored in cooperation with Southwest Florida Water Management District.
REMARKS - The extremes for periods published previously as tidal high-high and low-low gage heights are equivalent to maximum and minimum gage heights.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum gage height, 3.25 ft. ft, Sept. 6, 2004; minimum, 3.73 ft below NAVD 88, Dec. 15, 2004. Elevations now reflect current datum of NAVD 1988.
WATER-QUALITY RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - August 2002 to September 2005; December 2012 to September 2014 (discontinued).
INSTRUMENTATION - Water-quality monitor consisting of specific conductance and temperature sensors.
