LOCATION - Lat 28°08'23", long 82°09'00" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in NW 1/4 sec.18, T.27 S., R.22 E., Hillsborough County, FL, Hydrologic Unit 03100205, near center of span on downstream side of bridge on State Highway 39, 1.8 mi downstream from Itchepackesassa Creek, 4.4 mi northwest of Knights, FL and 5.4 mi upstream from mouth.
DRAINAGE AREA - 110 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - WRD FL 1969: 1953 (P).
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - January 1951 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. Prior to Oct. 1, 1984, at present site at datum 70.56 ft higher; Oct. 1, 1984 to Sept. 30, 1987, at present site at present datum, Oct. 1, 1987 to March 11, 2005, at site 900 ft upstream at present datum.
COOPERATION - This gage is monitored in cooperation with Southwest Florida Water Management District and Hillsborough County.
CLIMATOLOGICAL RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - February 2013 to current year.
INSTRUMENTATION - An 6-inch diameter, tipping bucket precipitation gage 15-minute interval, mounted on a 2-inch diameter aluminum pipe with the top of the funnel 30 ft above the ground.
REMARKS - Collection, computation and publication of precipitation data do not necessarily conform to standards used by the National Weather Service.
