LOCATION - Lat 28°05'20", long 82°24'33" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in SE 1/4 sec.33, T.27 S., R.19 E., Hillsborough County, FL, Hydrologic Unit 03100205, near center of span on downstream side of pedestrian bridge adjacent to State Highway 581, 1.2 mi downstream from Thirteen Mile Run, 2.5 mi upstream from mouth, and 5.0 mi northeast of Sulphur Springs, FL.
DRAINAGE AREA - 160 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - WDR FL-80-3A:1979 water year maximum. WDR FL-83-3A:1983 water year maximum.  Maximum peak discharge for Sept. 12, 2017, was revised on Dec. 18, 2019, due to revision of discharge.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - May 1956 to January 1964 (miscellaneous discharge measurements only); February 1964 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. Nov. 3, 1967, to Mar. 13, 1978, nonrecording gage at same site and datum.
COOPERATION - This gage is monitored in cooperation with Southwest Florida Water Management District, Hillsborough County, and the City of Tampa.
CLIMATOLOGICAL RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - March 2016 to current year.
INSTRUMENTATION - An 8-inch diameter, tipping bucket precipitation gage 15-minute interval, mounted on an aluminum pipe with the top of the funnel 16 ft above the ground.
REMARKS - Collection, computation and publication of precipitation data do not necessarily conform to standards used by the National Weather Service.
