LOCATION - Lat 28°01'10", long 82°27'07" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in sec.25, T.28 S., R.18 E., Hillsborough County, FL, Hydrologic Unit 03100205, on left bank, on private dock at 818 East Hollywood Drive, 100 ft downstream from Nebraska Avenue in Sulphur Springs, and 2.0 mi downstream from control structure for Tampa Reservoir.
DRAINAGE AREA - 636 mi².

SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 2000 to September 2003 (maximum and minimum gage heights only); October 2003 to September 2010 (tidal high-high and low-low gage heights only); October 2010 to October 2012 (maximum and minimum gage heights only); March 2013 to October 2014 (maximum and minimum gage heights only), discontinued.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929.
COOPERATION - This gage is monitored in cooperation with the Southwest Florida Water Management District.
REMARKS - Gage height at this site is significantly affected by astronomical tides. The extremes for periods published previously as tidal high-high and low-low gage heights are equivalent to maximum and minimum gage heights.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum gage height, 5.68 ft, May 2, 2014; minimum, 3.48 ft below NGVD 29, Jan. 3, 2008.

INSTRUMENTATION - Water-quality monitor consisting of specific conductance and temperature sensors located near the surface and 1.0 ft above the bottom. The top sensor located 1.8 ft below NGVD 29. The bottom sensor is located 6.8 ft below NGVD 29.
