02310308 PITHLACHASCOTEE RIVER AT MAIN STREET AT NEW PORT RICHEY, FL.
LOCATION - Lat 28°15'00", long 82°43'22" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in NE 1/4 SW 1/4 SE 1/4 sec.32, T.25 S., R.16 E., Pasco County, FL, Hydrologic Unit 03100207, (Port Richey Quadrangle), on a concrete piling in the center of the channel supporting a concrete utility bridge, 3 miles upstream from the mouth, 1.75 miles upstream from US Highway 19 bridge and 20 feet upstream of the Main Street bridge at New Port Richey.
DRAINAGE AREA - 195 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - May 2005 to September 2010 (tidal high-high and low-low gage heights only); October 2010 to September 2013 (maximum and minimum gage heights only); December 2013 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Prior to December 4, 2013 located 1 mile downstream on private dock at same datum.
COOPERATION - This gage is monitored in cooperation with the Southwest Florida Water Management District.
REMARKS - Gage height at this site is significantly affected by astronomical tides. The extremes for periods published previously as tidal high-high and low-low gage heights are equivalent to maximum and minimum gage heights.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum gage height, 4.86 ft, Sept. 2, 2016; minimum gage height, 3.69 ft below NAVD 88, Jan. 8 2017. 
WATER-QUALITY RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - May 2005 to current year.
COOPERATION - This gage is monitored in cooperation with the Southwest Florida Water Management District.
INSTRUMENTATION - Water-quality monitor consisting of specific conductance and temperature sensors. Sonde is located approximately at elevation of 5 ft below NAVD '88.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - SPECIFIC CONDUCTANCE: Maximum, 49,900 microsiemens, May 10, 13, 2009; minimum, 104 microsiemens, Sept. 4, 2016. TEMPERATURE: Maximum, 35.1°C, Aug. 10, 2023; minimum, 6.3°C, Jan. 11, 2010.
