GAGE - Water-stage and velocity recorder. Datum of gage is North American Vertical Datum of 1988.
COOPERATION - This gage is monitored in cooperation with Southwest Florida Water Management District.
REMARKS - Streamflow at this site is significantly affected by astronomical tides. The residual discharges are not total "freshwater" flow, but are a combination of freshwater flow and water storage caused by higher or lower Gulf of Mexico mean water levels. By convention, the U.S. Geological Survey has established ebb (seaward) flows as positive flow and flood (landward) flows as negative flows.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum gage height, 7.12 ft, Aug. 30, 2023; minimum, 3.29 ft below NAVD of 1988, Sept. 29, 2022.
WATER-QUALITY RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - June 2016 to current year.
COOPERATION - This gage is monitored in cooperation with Southwest Florida Water Management District.
INSTRUMENTATION - Water-quality monitor consisting of specific conductance and temperature sensors located at a fixed depth of 4.86 ft. below North American Vertical Datum of 1988.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - SPECIFIC CONDUCTANCE: Maximum, 30,800 microsiemens, Aug 30, 2023; minimum, 339 microsiemens, Aug. 17, 2019, and Oct 05, 2019. TEMPERATURE: Maximum, 30.8°C, July 06, 2023; minimum, 14.9 °C, Dec 26, 2022.
