GAGE - Water-stage and velocity recorder. Datum of gage is North American Vertical Datum of 1988.
COOPERATION - This gage is monitored in cooperation with Southwest Florida Water Management District.
REMARKS - Streamflow at this site is significantly affected by astronomical tides. The residual discharges are not total "freshwater" flow, but are a combination of freshwater flow and water storage caused by higher or lower Gulf of Mexico mean water levels. By convention, the U. S. Geological Survey has established ebb (seaward) flows as positive flow and flood (landward) flows as negative flows.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum gage height, 7.11 ft, Aug. 30, 2023; minimum, 2.70 ft below NAVD 88, Jan. 02, 2018.
WATER-QUALITY RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD -

Temperature and specific conductance, February 2017 to current year.

Nitrate, January 2017 to September 2021 (discontinued).

COOPERATION - This gage is monitored in cooperation with Southwest Florida Water Management District.
INSTRUMENTATION - Water-quality monitor consisting of temperature, specific conductance, and nitrate sensors at a fixed depth of 2.70 ft. below North American Vertical Datum of 1988.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - SPECIFIC CONDUCTANCE:  Maximum, 28,200 microsiemens, Aug. 30, 2023; minimum 105 microsiemens, Sept. 11, 2017.  TEMPERATURE:  Maximum, 29.3°C, July 4, 2023; minimum, 17.8°C, Jan 04, 2018. NITRATE: Maximum, 0.77 mg/l, Aug. 23, 2017; minimum, 0.05 mg/l, May 24, 2017.
