SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - August 2002 to December 2020; December 2020 to September 2022 (gage heights only), discontinued.
GAGE - Water-stage and velocity recorder. Datum of gage is 12.18 ft below North American Vertical Datum of 1988.
COOPERATION - This gage is monitored in cooperation with Southwest Florida Water Management District.
REMARKS - Streamflow at this site is significantly affected by astronomical tides. The residual discharges are not total "freshwater" flow, but are a combination of freshwater flow and water storage caused by higher or lower Gulf of Mexico mean water levels. By convention, the U.S. Geological Survey has established ebb (seaward) flows as positive flow and flood (landward) flows as negative flows.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum gage height, 18.62 ft, Sep. 2, 2016; minimum, 8.61 ft, Jan. 3, 2008.
WATER-QUALITY RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - August 2002 to September 2022 (discontinued).
COOPERATION - This gage is monitored in cooperation with Southwest Florida Water Management District.
INSTRUMENTATION - Water-quality monitor consisting of specific conductance and temperature sensors located approximately 5.14 below NAVD '88.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - SPECIFIC CONDUCTANCE: Maximum, 37,800 microsiemens, Sep. 11, 2008; minimum, 690 microsiemens, Oct. 5, 2005. TEMPERATURE: Maximum, 32.8°C, Aug. 17, 2010, July 28, 2016; minimum, 8.7°C, Jan. 12, 2010.
