LOCATION - Lat 30°04'16", long 83°39'45" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in SE 1/4 sec.06, T.5 S., R.7 E., Taylor County, FL, Hydrologic Unit 03110102, near right bank on downstream side of old bridge at State Highway 356, 1.0 mi southwest of the community of Hampton Springs, 5.5 mi southwest of Perry, and 14 mi upstream from mouth.
DRAINAGE AREA - 160 mi².

Aug. 13, 1946 to Aug. 12, 1952, nonrecording gage at same site at datum 4.00 ft higher. Aug. 13, 1952 to Oct. 18, 1954, nonrecording gage 30 ft upstream at datum 5.00 ft higher. Nov. 9, 1964 to Oct. 31, 1984, nonrecording gage at same site and datum. August 1977 to October 1984, and since April 1986 at present site and datum.
EXTREMES OUTSIDE PERIOD OF RECORD - Flood of September 13, 1964, reached a stage of 24.39 ft, present datum, from Crest Stage Gage, discharge, 1,760 ft³/s.
