02331600 CHATTAHOOCHEE RIVER NEAR CORNELIA, GA
LOCATION - Lat 34°32'26.6", long 83°37'21.99" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Habersham County, GA, Hydrologic Unit 03130001, on downstream side of bridge on Duncan Bridge Road (GA 384), 1.0 mile downstream from Soque River, 6.0 miles northwest of Cornelia, and at mile 401.4.
DRAINAGE AREA - 315 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - WSP 2106: 1963(M).
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD -
DISCHARGE: August 1957 to current year.
GAGE HEIGHT: October 1998 to current year.
GAGE - Satellite telemetry with a water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 1,128.64 feet above North American Vertical Datum (NAVD) of 1988 (GNSS survey). Prior to June 28, 1977 and after June 16, 1992 to October 25, 1994, located at a site 1,000 feet upstream at same datum.
COOPERATION - U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile District.
REMARKS - Gage-height records are generally good. Discharge records are generally fair except for estimated discharges, which are poor. Some regulation at low flow occurs from Habersham Mill power plant.
