LOCATION - Lat 33°49'13.1", long 84°24'27.5" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Fulton County, GA, Hydrologic Unit 03130001, on downstream side of bridge on Northside Drive, 0.4 miles downstream from Tanyard Branch, and 4.0 miles upstream from mouth.
DRAINAGE AREA - 86.8 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - WDR GA-96-1: 1995 (P, daily discharge, daily stage and monthly runoff). WDR US-2009: 2009 (M).

GAGE - Satellite telemetry with a water-stage recorder and continuous water-quality monitor. Datum of gage is 763.96 feet above National Geodetic Vertical Datum (NGVD) of 1929 (City of Atlanta benchmark). Prior to May 27, 1963, water-stage recorder located at site 1,000 feet downstream at same datum.

Prior to October 1, 2004, turbidity data were published using parameter code 00076: turbidity, water, unfiltered, NTU (Nephelometric Turbidity Units). Data for parameter code 63680 (turbidity) were collected using a probe with the following specifications: turbidity, water, monochrome near infra-red LED light, 780-900 nm, detection angle 90 +/-2.5 degrees, FNU (Formazin Nephelometric Units). Field determinations of discharge, microbiology, gage height, specific conductance, pH, water temperature, turbidity, air temperature, and dissolved oxygen are by the U.S. Geological Survey.
