LOCATION - Lat 33°51'33.3", long 84°39'09.9" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Cobb County, GA, Hydrologic Unit 03130002, on the right downstream abutment, 1.9 miles east of Powder Springs, 0.2 miles north of Seaboard Coast Line Railway, and 3.2 miles above mouth.
DRAINAGE AREA - 44.5 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY -

Gage datum was revised on October 15, 2024 based on an error in the determination of the gage datum.

GAGE HEIGHT : July 1998 to current year.
GAGE - Satellite telemetry with a water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 883.24 feet above the North American Vertical Datum (NAVD) of 1988 (leveling by Global Positioning System equipment).
COOPERATION - Cobb County Water System.
REMARKS - Gage-height records are generally good. Discharge records are generally fair except for estimated discharges, which are poor. EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, not determined due to backwater from Sweetwater Creek, September 21, 2009;maximum gage-height recorded, 23.21 feet, September 22, 2009, from floodmarks; minimum daily discharge, 0.09 cfs, August 19, 2000.
