LOCATION - Lat 33°21'35", long 84°23'40" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Fayette County, GA, Hydrologic Unit 03130005, on downstream side of bridge on Hampton-Woolsey Road, 1.8 miles upstream confluence with Bear Creek, 1.0 miles east of Woolsey, GA.

 

 

The nearest hospital is Wellstar Spalding Medical Center, 601 S 8th St, Griffin GA 30224.

DRAINAGE AREA - 160 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS

DISCHARGE: May 2000 to November 2007 (measurement only), November 2007 to current year.
GAGE HEIGHT: November 2007 to current year.
GAGE - Satellite telemetry with a water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 707.60 feet above the North American Vertical Datum (NAVD) of 1988 (leveling by Global Positioning System equipment).
COOPERATION - Fayette County Water System.
REMARKS - Gage-height records are generally good. Discharge records are generally fair except for estimated discharges, which are poor.
