LOCATION - Lat 31°46'34.6", long 84°08'20.7" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Lee County, GA, Hydrologic Unit 03130007, on downstream end of bridge pier on GA 195, 75 feet downstream from White Oak Branch, 3.3 miles downstream from Muckaloochee Creek, and 4.0 miles northeast of Leesburg.

DRAINAGE AREA - 362 mi².

GAGE - Satellite telemetry with a water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 215.67 feet above the North American Vertical Datum (NAVD) of 1988 (leveling by Global Positioning System equipment).

REMARKS - Gage-height records are generally good. EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge recorded, 64,400 cfs, July 6, 1994, from rating curve extended above 13,000 cfs on basis of slope conveyance study; maximum gage-height recorded, 29.10 feet, from floodmarks, July 6, 1994; minimum daily discharge, 3.6 cfs, June 16, 2011.
