LOCATION - Lat 30°58'42", long 87°31'41" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in SE 1/4 sec.03, T.5 N., R.5 E., Escambia County, FL, Hydrologic Unit 03140106, at bridge on Nokomis Road, 0.8 mi downstream from Rocky Creek, 1.4 mi below Alabama-Florida State Line, 2.1 mi upstream from Reedy Creek, and 6.0 mi west of Bratt.
DRAINAGE AREA - 26.5 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - WDR FL-03-4: 2002.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1998 to September 2002, October 2002 to September 2003 (fragmentary), October 2003 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and data-collection platform. Elevation of gage is National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929, from topographic map.
EXTREMES OUTSIDE PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge measured, 3,070 ft³/s, Sept. 29, 1998, gage height, 184.11 ft.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Peak gage height of 192.48 occurred during the flood on December 15, 2009, that destroyed the gage. The flood peak was measured using high water marks at the gage location. Peak discharge was not recorded nor estimated.
