LOCATION - Lat 34°29'41.5", long 84°57'55.5" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Gordon County, GA, Hydrologic Unit 03150103, on upstream side of road on GA 53 Spur, 1.2 miles south of confluence with Oostanaula River and 1.1 miles southwest of Calhoun.
DRAINAGE AREA - 62.6 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD -
DISCHARGE: March 2005 to current year.
GAGE HEIGHT: March 2005 to current year.
GAGE - Satellite transmitter with a water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 603.22 feet above North American Vertical Datum (NAVD) of 1929 (from GNSS survey).
COOPERATION - Georgia Department of Natural Resources, Environmental Protection Division.
REMARKS - Gage-height records are generally good. Discharge records are generally fair except for estimated discharges, which are poor. EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge recorded, 2,940 cfs, March 26, 2021; maximum gage height recorded, 20.19 feet, December 29, 2015; minimum daily discharge, 7.7 cfs, August 15, 2007.
