  • UPDATE, 11/9: As of November 8, the USGS has successfully restored all of the operational gages that stopped transmitting due to an issue with the satellite telemetry system that records and transmits data. The USGS will now focus on restoring other equipment that experienced the telemetry issues, including about 85 rapid deployment gages that are used periodically for emergency response. Read more

LOCATION - Lat 33°59'55", long 85°03'09" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Polk County, GA, Hydrologic Unit 03150104, at Rockmart, GA, 13.5 miles northwest of Dallas, GA, and 19.0 miles southeast of Rome, GA.
DRAINAGE AREA - 42.1 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD -
DISCHARGE: December 1983 to July 1985 (annual maximum), June 1996 to July 2003 (annual maximum), September 2004 to June 2010 (annual maximum), July 2010 to current year.
GAGE HEIGHT: July 2010 to current year.
GAGE - Satellite telemetry with a water stage recorder. Datum of gage is 732.98 feet above National Geodetic Vertical Datum (NGVD) of 1929.
