LOCATION - Lat 34°12'33.5", long 84°58'43.5" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Bartow County, GA, Hydrologic Unit 03150104, on right bank, 125 feet downstream from bridge on US 411, 1.1 miles above Two Run Creek, 26.4 miles downstream from Allatoona Dam, 2 1/2 miles southwest of Kingston, and at river mile 21.4.
DRAINAGE AREA - 1,634 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY -

Gage datum was revised on February 17, 2022 based on an error in the determination of the gage datum.

SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD -
DISCHARGE: July 1928 to December 1931; November 1936 to April 1937; June 1937 to April 1960; June 1960 to September 1995; October 2008 to current year.
GAGE HEIGHT: July 2001 to current year.
GAGE - Satellite telemetry with water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 609.60 feet above North American Vertical Datum (NAVD) of 1988. Prior to August 11, 1928, nonrecording gage, August 11, 1928 to December 28, 1931, water-stage recorder, November 16, 1936 to June 15, 1937, nonrecording gage, and June 16, 1937 to June 27, 1960, water-stage recorder, all 500 feet upstream at same datum.
COOPERATION - U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile District.
REMARKS - Gage-height records are generally good. Discharge records are generally fair except for estimated discharges, which are poor. Gage-height affected by Allatoona Reservoir Dam since December 1949.
EXTREMES OUTSIDE PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum stage known, about 31.0 feet, December 11, 1919, discharge, from information by local resident, discharge, 52,000 cfs.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge recorded, 27,700 cfs, March 4, 1979; maximum gage height recorded, 22.30 feet, March 4, 1979; minimum daily discharge, 327 cfs, August 28, 1988.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD PRIOR TO REGULATION - Maximum discharge recorded, 42,700 cfs, April 9, 1938; maximum gage-height recorded, 27.70 feet, April 9, 1938; minimum daily discharge, 268 cfs, October 19, 1931.
