LOCATION - Lat 34°03'36.7", long 85°18'48.8" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Polk County, GA, Hydrologic Unit 03150105, at bridge on Cave Springs Road, 4.5 mi upstream from Lake Creek, and 4.5 mi northwest of Cedartown.
DRAINAGE AREA - 115 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - WSP 1704: 1943-44(M), 1946-47(M), 1949, 1951, 1952(M), 1954(M), 1957.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD -
DISCHARGE: October 1942 to September 1973 and January 2005 to current year.
GAGE HEIGHT: January 2005 to current year.
GAGE - Satellite telemetry with water stage recorder. Datum of gage is 724.89 feet above the North American Vertical Datum (NAVD) of 1988.
COOPERATION - Georgia Department of Natural Resources, Environmental Protection Division.
REMARKS - Gage-height records are generally good. Discharge records are generally fair except for estimated discharges, which are poor. EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge recorded, 8,820 cfs, November 28, 1948; maximum gage height recorded, 16.40 feet, November 28, 1948; minimum daily discharge, 18 cfs, several days during fall months in 2007 and 2012.
CLIMATOLOGICAL RECORDS

Field determinations of Discharge, Specific Conductance, pH, Water Temperature, Air Temperature, and Dissolved Oxygen are by the U.S. Geological Survey.
