LOCATION - Lat 34°12'07", long 85°27'11.7" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Cherokee County, AL, Hydrologic Unit 03150105, 6.5 miles southwest of Coosa, GA, and at river mile 254.8.
DRAINAGE AREA - 4,362 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS

GAGE HEIGHT: January 2005 to current year.
GAGE - Satellite transmitter with water stage recorder. Datum of gage is 549.5 feet above North American Vertical Datum of 1988 (leveling by Global Positioning System equipment).
COOPERATION - Georgia Department of Natural Resources, Environmental Protection Division.
REMARKS - Gage-height records are generally good. Water velocity records are generally fair.
