LOCATION - Lat 31°57'58", long 89°06'54" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in SW 1/4 NW 1/4 SW 1/4 sec.31, T.2 N., R.12 E., Jasper County, MS, Hydrologic Unit 03170005, Choctaw Meridian, near right bank on downstream side of bridge 11.0 on State Highway 528, 0.8 mi west of Waldrup, 11.6 mi east of Bay Springs, and 91.0 mi upstream from mouth.
DRAINAGE AREA - 102 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - Occasional discharge measurements, water years 1961, 1964-65, and annual maximums, water years 1969-79. October 1979 to September 2004, operated as a daily value discharge site; October 2004 to current year operated as a flood-hydrograph partial-record station.
GAGE - Flood-hydrograph partial-record station. Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage. Datum of gage is 290.00 ft above NGVD of 1929. Prior to October 1979, at datum 290.00 ft lower. October 1979 to September 1980, non-recording gage and crest-stage gage at same site and datum.
REMARKS - Records good. Discharges computed for runoff events only.
