GAGE -

Water-stage recorder and satellite telemeter at site.  Datum of gage is 119.32 ft above NAVD of 1988, (Reference Frame NAD_83 (2011) (EPOCH:2010.0000) GEOID18).

Prior to October 16, 2023, the datum of gage was 119.91 ft NGVD of 1929.

COOPERATION - This station is funded through the National Streamflow Information Program (NSIP).
REMARKS - Records good except for estimated discharges which are poor.
EXTREMES OUTSIDE PERIOD OF RECORD - The flood of April 1900 had an estimated discharge of 73,000 cfs at a stage of 50.30 feet (at a different datum). This is the highest known flood peak. The flood of February 1961 had a discharge of 58,300 cfs at a stage of 47.90 feet.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - January 1937 - September 1951: Maximum instantaneous discharge 53,100 cfs, April 11, 1938, at a stage of 47.10 feet. November 2012-curent year: Maximum instantaneous discharge 28,300 cfs, April 14, 2014, at a stage of 37.03 feet.
