LOCATION - Lat 32°51'44", long 89°26'36" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in NE 1/4 SE 1/4 sec.26, T.12 N., R.8 E., Leake County, MS, Hydrologic Unit 03180001, Choctaw Meridian, at new bridge 65.7B on northbound emergency lane of State Highway 25, one half mile east of Renfroe.
DRAINAGE AREA - 248 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - Occasional discharge measurements 1967 to 2003, crest-stage only from 1999 to 2011, converted to continuous stage-discharge record station on Aug 16, 2011, flood hydro-graph site only from Oct 01, 2015 to current
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and satellite transmitter at site.  Datum of gage is 354.28 ft above NAVD of 1988, (Reference Frame NAD_83 (2011) (EPOCH:2010.0000) GEOID18).  Prior to March 13, 2024, the datum of gage was 354.18 ft NGVD of 1929.

INSTRUMENTATION - 8-inch Design Analysis H-340 (Sn 1993) tipping-bucket precipitation gage is located at aluminum box off downstream bridge hand rail over mid-channel, next to WWG. Top of the collection funnel is ~ 25 feet above low water channel and is not equipped with a wind shield.
