LOCATION - Lat 41°29'10", long 78°40'43" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Elk County, PA, Hydrologic Unit 05010005, on left bank at upstream side of highway bridge at Johnsonburg, 0.1 mi downstream from confluence of East and West Branches.
DRAINAGE AREA - 204 mi².
- Revisions: Gage height, discharge measurements, and discharge for the period Jan 12, 2018, to May 30, 2018, were revised on Mar 29, 2019, based on changes to gage height corrections, which affected discharge measurements 617-619, and computed discharge for the period.
PERIOD OF RECORD - 1945-1995 (continuous-record discharge station), 1996 to 2013 (annual peaks only), 2014 to current year (continuous-record discharge station).
GAGE - Water-stage recorder, crest-stage gage, and water-quality monitor. Datum of gage is 1,423.03 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. Prior to Nov. 8, 1951, non-recording gage at same site and datum. Satellite and landline telemetry at station.
