LOCATION - Lat 40°18'58", long 79°23'27.0" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Westmoreland County, PA, Hydrologic Unit 05010008, on right bank, 0.2 miles downstream from bridge on state highway 981, and 0.3 miles upstream from Latrobe Hospital. 
DRAINAGE AREA - 209 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - Revisions: Prior to December 21, 2023, the datum of gage was erroneously reported as 962 or 1000 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929.  
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - 2009 to current year. Stage only.
GAGE -

Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 953.5 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988.  Prior to December 21, 2023, the datum of gage was erroneously reported as 962 or 1000 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929.  Satellite telemetry at station.

COOPERATION - Station established and maintained by the U.S. Geological Survey in cooperation with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Pittsburgh District.
REMARKS - Gage is part of a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers local flood protection project. Stage records for water year are good. 
WATER-QUALITY RECORDS
INSTRUMENTATION - Water temperature probe, interfaced with a data collection platform. Measurement interval is 15 minutes.
REMARKS - For water year 2017, records for water temperature are rated fair. For water year 2018, records for water temperature are rated poor. For water year 2019, records for water temperature are rated good. Beginning in water year 2019 water quality records are not rated as "excellent" "good" "fair" or "poor".
