LOCATION - Lat 40°30'11.3", long 79°56'54.4" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Allegheny County, PA, Hydrologic Unit 05010009, on right bank 1.7 mi upstream from mouth at Allegheny River, 0.8 mi downstream from Little Pine Creek, and approximately 0.3 mi upstream from West Branch Pine Creek, at bridge on Crescent Street at Etna.
DRAINAGE AREA - 57.3 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - June 2006 to December 2014 (continuous discharge); October 2014 to current(gage height only).
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage. Datum of gage is 740 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929, from topographic map. Satellite telemetry at station.
COOPERATION - Station established and maintained by the U.S. Geological Survey in cooperation with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Pittsburgh District.
REMARKS - Records for water year 2014 are fair except those for estimated daily discharges, which are poor. Discharge records published to December 2014. Starting in October 2014, gage height is published. Record for the 2017 water year considered fair. Record for the 2018 water year considered fair.
