LOCATION - Lat 40°00'06", long 79°57'40" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Fayette County, PA, Hydrologic Unit 05020005, on right bank on landward lock wall of Maxwell lock and dam, 0.2 miles NE of Luzerne, PA, 2.65 miles upstream from Denbo, PA and 1.0 mile downstream of Vestaburg, PA.
DRAINAGE AREA - 4,440 square miles.
REVISIONS HISTORY - Revisions: The datum of gage was erroneously reported as 754.0 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988 prior to February 20, 2024.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 2017 to current year.
GAGE - Water stage recorder with reference staff gage. Datum of gage is 753.52 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988 (NAVD88) (from benchmark).  Prior to February 20. 20224, the datum of gage was erroneously reported as 754.0 ft above NAVD88.  Satellite telemetry at site.
COOPERATION - Station established and maintained by the U.S. Geological Survey in cooperation with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Pittsburgh District.
