LOCATION - Lat 40°15'55", long 79°53'52" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Allegheny County, PA, Hydrologic Unit 05020005, on center river wall of lock and dam 50 ft downstream of lock gates above operators building on light pole, and 1,050 ft downstream of station (03075070 Mon River at Elizabeth), 0.6 mi downstream from Lobbs Creek, at river mile 24.0.
DRAINAGE AREA - 5,339 mi². 5,340 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - Revisions: The datum of gage was erroneously reported as 730 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929 prior to February 22, 2021.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 2017 to current year.
GAGE - Water stage recorder with reference staff gage.  The datum of gage is 709.16 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988 (from benchmark).  Prior to February 20, 2024, the datum of gage was reported as 709.7 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929 (NGVD29) and prior to February 22, 2021, erroneously reported as 730 ft above NGVD29 depending on source.  Satellite telemetry at site.
COOPERATION - Station established and maintained by the U.S. Geological Survey in cooperation with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Pittsburgh District.
