WATER-QUALITY RECORDS
PERIOD OF DAILY RECORD - WATER TEMPERATURE: June 2010 to current year (seasonal operation, June through November). TOTAL DISSOLVED GAS: June 2010 to current year (seasonal operation, June through November). DISSOLVED OXYGEN: June 2011 to current year (seasonal operation, June through November). BAROMETRIC PRESSURE (June 2010 to current year (seasonal operation, June through November). SPECIFIC CONDUCTANCE: June 2017 to current year (seasonal operation, June through November). TURBIDITY: June 2010 to current year (seasonal operation, June through November).
COOPERATION - Station established and maintained by the U.S. Geological Survey in cooperation the the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Pittsburgh District.
INSTRUMENTATION - Continuous water-quality monitor interfaced with a data collection platform with 15-minute recording interval.
REMARKS -

Data collection is discontinued during the winter months. Other interruptions in record were due to equipment malfunctions.

Historically, water temperatures below 0 degrees Celsius were not reported. Water temperature sensors now have the ability to accurately read water temperatures below 0 degrees Celsius. 

Cross-sectional water quality data is available upon request.

For water year 2014, water temperature records are rated good. Dissolved oxygen records are rated good, except for September 27-30, which are rated fair. Total dissolved gas records are rated poor.

For water year 2015, records for water temperature and barometric pressure are rated good. Records for dissolved oxygen are rated good, except for June 1-10, which are poor. Records for total dissolved gas are rated poor.

 For water year 2016, records for barometric pressure are rated good. Records for water temperature are rated good, except for September 14-27, which are fair. Records for dissolved oxygen are rated fair, except for September 26-30, which are poor. Accuracy of total partial pressure of dissolved gas readings (in mmHg) presumed to be within 10 mmHg. The sensor may not have been deeper than the minimum compensation depth for some periods.

For water year 2017, records for water temperature, specific conductance, and dissolved oxygen are rated good. The record for barometric pressure (BP) is accurate within +/- 2.0 mmHg. Records for total partial pressure of dissolved gas (TDG) are presumed to be accurate within 2.0% saturation (100*[BP/TDG]). Records for turbidity are rated fair, except for when values are less than 10 FNU, which are rated poor.
